In the 1810 census of Warren Co. Kentucky There are a few Paulks listed.
Paulk, John - Male between 16 - 26 years of age.
Paulk, Moses - 1 male under the age of 10 years old, 1 male between 16 - 26 years of age, 1 female under the age of 10 years old, 1 female between 26 - 45 year of age.
I know Moses Paulk died in 1815, New Orleans, while serving in the War of 1812. His wife was named Elizabeth. She sued the Army for Moses's back pay. I have thoses records.
I lost track of his wife and 2 children.
John Paulk married Elizabeth Edington in 1818 Barren Co., Kentucky. This Elizabeth could have been Moses's wife.
In the 1840 census of Cannon Co.,Tennessee lists John Paulk
There is another Paulk and that is Jehu. He married Elizabeth Barnett in Barren Co. Kentucky 1813. His children have been indentified.
That one male child of Moses could be the missing link to the Paulks. That is why some people can't connect to the Paulks in South Carolina.
Again, what are these Paulks doing in Kentucky 1800's. Well
I believe they were with the Mulkey Church that moved from
Union Co., South Carolina in 1798-1799. There are persons listed on the membership rolls of the church that knew the Paulks in South Carolina. One of which is widow, Rachel Collins, wife of Uriah Paulk. wife of Uriah Paulk.
