From the York Daily Record, Monday, February 21, 2005. Walter Durea Polhemus, 61, died at 9:36 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Bonnie (Umland) Polhemus with whom he observed their 37th wedding anniversary March 11, 2004. Born January 17, 1944 in Nyack, N.Y. he was a son of the late Albert and Virginia (Dette) Polhemus, Mr. Polhemus served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian and wife Tanya Polhemus of Delta and Gregory Polhemus of Burlington, N.J. a daughter, Wendi and husband Kirk Rodgers of Pearl River, N.Y. two granddaughters, Jasmine LeGrand and Lauren Rodgers. and two grandsons, Noah Polhemus and Brady Polhemus. Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York is in charge of arrangements. (PA)
