To C. Stone

Archie Paulhamus was my maternal grandfather. He lived in Williamsport, PA all his life, married Mildred Manny in the late 1920's. He had one daughter, Shirley Arlene Paulhamus (my mother). Shirley married Dr. William A.E. Leitzinger (my father) of Clearfield in 1952 or 1953. Shirley is 70 now and lives in Dover, Delaware with William. Archie Paulhamus worked much of his life as a foreman at Bethlehem Steel in Williamsport. He loved hunting and fishing of all kinds. Archie was a very loved grandfather to his 6 grandchildren (my siblings) who called him Pop Pop. He was a great person. Archie died in December 1972 of cardiac arrest while spending the christmas holidays with us in Dover Delaware. I was the one sitting with him when he collaped and died. We were watching a Jerry Lewis movie on TV and just laughing away at the time. Still miss him dearly. His wife Mildred died in Dover Delaware in 1998, she was nearly 88. We are trying to trace Archie's ancestors from Abraham Paulhamus (Polhemus)who moved to Lycoming County in the late 1700's.

Please reply as we are curious about additional geneology information ourselves.
