JOSIAH B. PAULEY / JOHN P. "POWLEY"
Posted by: Marian McGowen (ID *****0591) Date: June 06, 2006 at 21:51:55
  of 929

At Ancestry.com in the Civil War Service Records I find the following:

Name: Josiah B. Pauley
Company: B
Unit: 45 Virginia Infantry
Rank-Induction: Private
Rank-Discharge: 2 Lieutenant
Allegiance: Confederate
Notes: Powley, John P.

Josiah B. Pauley is my GG Grandfather, b. abt. 1824 VA, d. bet. 1868-1870. He was a POW at the Johnson Island POW Depot in Ohio. He married Ann F. Carrico.

I don't know who the JOHN P. POWLEY (prob a mispell) is that is listed on his (Josiah's) notes. Any help out there?

Thanks, Marian
