Daniel and Hugh Paul, West Virginia
Are you researching Pauls in West Virginia and find there are too many Hughs, Daniels, Johns, Isaacs, and Georges to even begin to tackle which is which? Paula Solar and Shari Burt took the challenge and published the results in their book "Daniel and Hugh Paul: Scottish Brothers in Colonial Virginia and Their Children in 19th Century America."
The fully-sourced book is 345 pages, 8.5"x11", 60# acid-free archival paper, hard case binding in hunter green. It is published by No Waste Publishing, a subsidiary of Creative Imaging Inc. Included as a bonus with the book are two CDs containing PDF images of over 600 historical documents, tax records, maps, and photographs collected by the authors during their research of this book.
The book covers Daniel and Hugh Paul of Prince William and Greenbrier counties of Virginia, and their children's families of Greenbrier/Monroe, Kanawha, Cabell, and Putnam counties of Virginia/West Virginia; Fayette County, Ohio; and Henry County, Indiana.
An entire chapter is devoted to Sarah Paul and her husband John Siers with documents from Prince William, Fauquier, and Greenbrier/Monroe counties. Another chapter is devoted to Francis Paul and her husband John Ellison with documents from Greenbrier/Monroe County.
