Hello,
I realize it's been a few years since you've been researching the Surname
Paul from Manitoba and elsewhere. I hoping for some information.
I'm a military researcher specifically Aboriginal Veterans.
I suspect the following Veteran is of Metis descent, and would like
to confirm this or have strong evidence to support.
I have an online Aboriginal Veterans Tribute site listing over 5000
Veterans. I would like to add this man's name as it is a very significant
military story in our Canadian history.
Your help would be very much appreciated. The info you have posted
matches very well, except you mentioned only a daughter by Agnes and
Daniel Paul of Carman, Manitoba.

Jeff Schlingloff

Hello!
I am researching the PAUL lineage who were of the Metis / French Canadian
heritage
I can go as far back as Daniel/David Frederic dit PAUL born 1838 at St.
Boniface, Manitoba, Canada. He was the son of Frederic PAUL and Josephte
Boury - who were french Canadian.
Daniel/David married Marguerite Guiboche and they had at least one son
Joseph (Frederic) PAUL born 1864 in Carman Manitoba.
Joseph (Frederic) PAUL married Adelaide Malaterre and they had Daniel who
was born in 1887 in Manitoba. He married Marie Agnes McIvor and had a girl
Helen Agnes Paul born 1924 in Manitoba.
I do not have any of the siblings, so if any of these names ring a bell -
please let me know!
Thank you,
Debbie
