I have the info you were looking for.
Parents of Israel Paul:
Josiah Paul [a.k.a. (Isiah) or (Esias) Paul]
Born:18 Jan 1826
Died:23 May 1905
Magdalena Baker (a.k.a. Martha)
Born:4 May 1831
Died:21 Oct 1899
Magdalena may have been Josiah Paul's second wife.I also found a "Sarah" in two of the Census records as his wife.
They are both buried in Fairview Cemetery, Enders, Jackson Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.Israel and his wife are also buried there.
The parents of Josiah Paul:
Johann Jacob Paul *
Born:6 Mar 1791
Died:24 Nov 1850
+Anna Catharina Schupp
Born:19 Oct 1789
Died:24 Apr 1857
* I had actually been looking into Johann Jacob Paul as a possibility for one of my ancestors, but because of someone else's documentation of the children, I have pretty much ruled him out.
------------------------------------------------------------
The children that I have found appear to be:
From Sarah (Unknown):
1.Emanuel Paul
Born:Abt. Sep 1849
+Catherine Boyer
Born:Abt. Feb 1848
2.Louisa Paul
Born:Abt. 1852
3.Lydia H. Paul
Born:Abt. 1855
Died:Perhaps before 1870
4.Israel Paul
Born:18 Jan 1857
Died:4 Apr 1945
+Ellen Angeline Wert
Born:31 May 1859
Died:21 Mar 1938
5.William F. Paul
Born:1858
Died:1953
+Mary Jane (Unknown)
Born:1857
Died:1936
From this point, I believe, but am not sure, that Magdalena comes into the story. This is only my guess, so don't hold me to it.
From Magdalena Baker:
6.John D. Paul
Born:Mar 1863
Died:Around 1930 or later
+Ida Serena Leitzel *(I have a partial obituary)
Born:11 Feb 1864
Died:31 Jan 1950
7.Catharine M. Paul
Born:Abt. 1865
8.Ida E. Paul
Born:Abt 1866
9.Jacob M. Paul
Born:Abt 1868
10. Leander A. Paul
Born:1870
Died:1945
+Jennie Z. (Unknown)
Born:1872
Died:1957
------------------------------------------------------------
An important thing to keep in mind when researching Pauls is to watch out for name variations. The common two that I have come across are "Powel" and "Powell".Occasionally a mispelling will give you "Powl" as well.
I hope that helps you.
