Carolyn,I have been perplexed with my PAUL family research for many years. The few family members left living do not have a clue where they originated from or even migrated from after coming to America.I was never able to get accurate info from my own father because by the time I began my research, he was suffering from cancer and alzheimers , however, I have been able to research my Maryland Pauls back to 1850 with sources, but, I am so stuck at my g-grandfather Jabus Paul I do not have a complete name for him and this is part of my problem, it seems that everyone used nicknames, or, switched back ond forth between first or middle names. Jabus born between 1805 - 1818 married to Julia Ann Magraw/McGrath 5 July 1854 both of which were suppose to have been born in Dorchester County, Maryland but even that is unsure. There is some speculation that our PAUL family may have migrated to Maryland from the Massachusetts- New York area, but there is no actual proof of that either, just by word of my father?!?I have read most of the information you have in your blog and I was wondering if you have information of any of your PAUL family that may have migrated to Maryland which may give me a new sense of direction to do my research. Thanks, Sylvia PAUL Greenhawk
