It looks like she is the daughter on the 1840 census that I never identified. James' family gave his middle name as Alexander but census records give it as A. so it could be anything. Have you found a marriage record yet? Jonathan Leathers was still in Orange Co. in 1830 but I didn't find John Paul as head of house that year. On the 1840 census he has a daughter 10u/15. That year they were all in Wilson Co. TN. James was born in VA in 1835 but Martha was born in TN in 1836. Probably the oldest girl would have been born in VA. James Leathers was in Hardeman Co. TN by 1830 and the Paul's could have gone to TN with James then back to VA so I'm not positive. James was Eliza's first cousin and the son of her father's sister Nancy.
