Wow! It's humbling to look back at how little I knew. And I imagine I'll look back on this in the years ahead with a similar sense.First corrections for the Clarks that married Samuel Deatherage Edgeman's daughters:Sabra was married to Abraham Harvey Clark, brother of John A. Clark, b. 29 Jan 1816, who married Sabra's sister, Rebecca. Rebecca and John are my gggrandparents. The parents of these Clark boys were James Henry and Nancy McCampbell Clark.Drusanna Edgeman married John Armstrong Clark, b. 1827, from another Clark family. After John A. Clark's death in 1848, Rebecca Edgeman Clark married widower, Archibald Duncan Paul on 25 October 1854 in Roane County, Tennessee. They had Archibald Duncan Jr. and Samuel E. (some think for Edgeman)Paul.Arch Sr. had been married to Cynthia Breeding and had Margaret Jane, Cyrena Ann, Myra Waterhouse, Lucinda Carolina, Calista Emily, Narcissa Katherine, Nancy Elizabeth, Vaun Alphonso, Cyntha Angaline, Saphrona Adaline, Amanda Francine, and William L. Paul.I'm indebted to another researcher for the names of the children of the first Paul family.
I would happily share any other information I have, and would appreciate any feedback.Arch is buried between Cynthia and Rebecca in the Friendship Baptist Cemetery in Spring City, Rhea County, Tennessee. Somewhere I have photos of the headstones.I also have a family photograph of Rebecca, her son, Leander Clark and her sons, Arch and Sam Paul, and others.
