Hi Cindy, My gg grandfather was Ansley V. Paul. He enlisted as Private Ansley Paul, March 4, 1862. He was killed at Missionary Ridge Tenn. on Nov. 25, 1863. He was in Co. H, 40th Reg't. Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Bartow Co. called the Veach Gaurd. He was married to Polly Ann Hayes (Polly is a descendant of the Winborne family) and their daughter Catherine Ann Paul married Willaim R. Murphy. Their daughter, Annie Louvinia Murphy was my grandmother. She had a sister Grace. My grandmother was born in Adairsville, GA, but moved at an early age to Dalton, GA. She married William Simpson Barber and they had seven children. Delsie Mae Barber Arnold, William Barber, Louise Barber Dewberry, Jack Barber, Harold Barber, Annabel Barber Stacy, and my mother Betty Barber Keen. Of these children, only Harold and Annabel are still living. The oldest child, Delsie Mae died just two weeks ago just before her 90th birthday. I have many cousins, and I hope this has been of some help.
