David,
My data for this generation of PAULs is very sketchy. The following is a brief family tree that my grandfather, George Paul compiled (circa 1950).
"Three Paul Brothers (Names Unknown) came from Scotland to Virginia.
One settled in Virginia, one in Penn., and One in South Carolina.
The one in South Carolina being our ancester.
__________ Paul once or twice moved from South Carolina, but married a Miss Williamson of South Carolina.
Their Children were.

George Williamson Married Minerva Biggs of Benton Tenn. "
We suspect that our unknown ancestors are John Paul & Martha Williamson, but have not located records to prove this as fact.
I have found a Newton County Georgia marriage license for Isabelle Paul and Alexander McWatters to validate some of my Grandfather's history.
I've been in contact with a descendant of Sam Paul who says their parents died of Cholera and the family was raised by a Gray family (possibly their sister, Martha) in the Atlanta area.He said that Sam grew up in the Albany Georga area.He moved to Alabama and farmed along the Coosa River.
Their family tradition says that Archie moved to Texas.
Let me know if this sounds like your PAUL family.
Best regards,
Ron Evans
