per "The Hoosier Journal Of Ancestry, Jefferson County", Indiana and Fairmount Cemetery, Madison Ind.:
John Paul is the son of Michael Paul, a native of Holland, and Ann Parker of Germantown, Pa. Ann was a cousin of Rev. Samuel Smith, President of what later became Princeton University. John was born in Germantown, Pa. Nov. 12, 1758 and died June 6, 1830 in Madison, Ind. He married Sarah Thornberry Grover in Danville, Ky, 1794. 'They had 4 children, the eldest dying quite young.'
-------
Sarah Thornberry Grover, d/o Josias and Mary Anderson Grover of Baltimore, Maryland.No proof yet as to who Josias's parents are. Josias's parents are not William and Eleanor Grover of Baltimore, Maryland. (Eleanor was a widow, and William married her either 2 years before or after Josias and Mary married.)
I'm a descendant of Sarah T. Grovers' brother Benjamin Grover and wife Anne Dorsey of Baltimore, Maryland. Anne is on the 1850 Madison Census, age 84, and she too is buried in the Fairmount Cem., as Nancy Grover. Their dau. Ruth Grover went with John Paul and his family from Kentucky to Indiana. She later married John Sering.
hope this helps....;-}
