Hi Curtis.
I don't remember if I answered your post but, just in case:
No, I don't know for a fact that I have Mikmak blood.I know that the name "Paul" is widespread in some Native Nations in Quebec (Mikmaks, Algonquins and Crees).I have among my ancestors this Lisette Paul-Michel whose origins are unknown (yet). She might be a Native, or a Metis, or a French Immigrant.I know that she married Balthasar Koch, a German soldier hired by King George III and who came to Canada to fight the American rebels in 1781.She might have been the daughter of another soldier, as the Paul-Michel names were common in Alsace and Lorraine, near Germany.I'm still not sure.
Good luck with your own search.
