John C. Paul, Scotland and Kentucky
I am trying desperately to find information about my paternal grandmother's family. According to family legend, her father, John Claudius Paul, came to the States from Scotland but I don't know when. We have a kilt pin that I'm told belonged to him or someone in his family.
I have also been told that he had a twin bro. but I have no name. Supposedly his brother was killed in Indiana when he was drunk and wandered onto a train track. I know nothing more.
If I am correct, John Claudius was born May 8, 1881 and died in July 1972. He was married to Edna Mae Felts of the Bowling Green, Rockfield, Browning, Warren Co., Kentucky area but I have no dates.
I'm assuming they married between 1908-1912 based on order in which the kids were born. They lived "@ the Rock Quarry" as Grandmother says and had three children; Mason Paul, Ralph Cornelius Paul and Zula Pauline Paul. He worked as a stone mason I believe.
I know that the children all attended Rockfield School in Rockfield, so this gives a clue as to location.
I don't know if anyone will be able to help me but any information you can provide or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much ahead of time.... e-mail me @ [email protected]
