in 1744 william paul left everything he had to his wife mary, witnesses were roland williams, william rushing and john paul.
in 1751, in anson co. abraham paul of craven co. sc. sold land to stephen jackson of anson co. n.c. wit. were william rushing and stephen jackson. it appears that stephen jackson married a daughter of william rushing.
there is a jacob paul living in anson co. in 1764 on brown creek. jacob may be a brother to abraham paul. from what i see, roland williams, and william rushing married daughters of william paul and john paul is a brother-in-law. all of the above people are from the northhampton co area of n.c. and all went to anson n.c. and craven co s.c. about the same time, around 1750, execpt for john paul.
