Dear Ginger, Thank you for contacting me. I have found 2 James in my family info. I hope you can use it :[Abraham Paul(I) m. Amanda Forrest(Amey) they lived Thompson Creek, Craven Co.SC, he was said to be the oldest settler in that area. His will was probated Oct. 1752. Children :William b.1730, (2)Abraham(II) b.1742, (3)John b. 1748, (4)Mary b.1749, (5) Elizabeth b.1750, Abraham (II) moved on to Robeson Co.,][ William lived in the Chester District SC, Williams will didn't list a name for his wife, it appears he may have been married 2 times the way the will reads, it was probated April 1816. Children : William, James, John, Hugh, Anne, Jane.][ Abraham (II) m. Amelia in 1763,some say he was married twice and Jane Matthews was the other wife. Abraham (II) is buried in Robeson Co. his will was probated in 1820. Children: (1) Abraham (III) b.1764, (2)William b.1766, (3) Patsy, !767, (4) Stephen b.1768, (5) Elias b. !779, he left NC and moved to Tenn. in 1812. (6) Silas b. 1784.][William ( son of Abraham (II)) didn't mention his wife either in his will that was probated in 1829, he is buried in Robeson Co. too. Children:(1) Alin, (2) Elizabeth, (3) Stephen, (4) William, (5) Isham b.1791, (6)Abraham b.1798, (7) Amy (Amelia) b. 1803,(8)James, b. 1800-1810, James appears in the 1830 Robeson Co. census.]As you can tell the main line I am interested in is Abrahams but I do like to follow up on all the children when possible, so please let me know if you find a connection. One more thing ALL the childrens names listed have been documented and are mentioned in each mans will. It appears to me that James the son of William the son of Abraham (II) would be the most likely connection to your ancestor James Sr. Of course its possible one of the other siblings could have named their son after their brother. There are no other James in this line of Abrahams because I have all their names and most of the grandchildren's too, except I don't know anything about the two Williams grandchildren. Will be glad to share what I have with you if you link up. Happy Hunting, feel free to email me direct. Mary Paul Barrett
