NEW! Patty-DNA Project

The PATTY/PATEY genetic project has been established. If you are a male with either surname and are interested in researching your direct paternal line further, please join us for this surname study.
This is a Y-chromosome project for living male PATTY descendents and can be used to identify one's direct paternal line. For this reason, females cannot contribute directly, but can find a male relative (father, brother, cousin, etc) to be tested as a representative of her line.

Many of you have paper links back several generations to your ancestors and would like to verify this lineage---some of you may just be curious as to whether you share a common ancestor with others of your surname. Our surname appears in all thirteen original states of Colonial America.

This project is expected to help to confirm the genealogical trail of these various genetic lines.
To become a part of this PATTY-DNA project, please contact me. Thank you for your help,
Sylvia Simms
