The "order of the court" referred to in the Camden Parish record is this one:

Pittsylvania County VA Court Records (Orders) No. 4, 1777 - 1783 [Page 471] February Court 1783
"West to be bound out
Ordered that the Church Wardens of the Parish of Cambden in this County so bind out Josiah West and Obadiah West according to law."

This entry does not say to whom they are to be bound, but it meshes with the March 18, 1783, Camden parish record where they were bound as apprentice to Jesse Paley [likely meaning Patey].
