I can help you with a couple of your Patton's. My grandfather was "Bert" whose full name was Murray Albert or M.A. Patton. He was a dentist and was married to Etta Belle MacNeill. They had 2 children, my father, Murray MacNeill and his sister, Thelma Christine. Bert's parents were Murray Buck Patton and Alice Hossler. Buck was the gardener. My father told me that Buck was injured during the civil war (shot in the backside!)so he had a limp and he was a blacksmith so his hearing was impaired. But he still worked all his life and he remembers him taking care of the grounds at the Old Orange County Courthouse. The contractor of the courthouse was Christopher MacNeill, who was Etta's father. Buck and Alice had 8 children, of which Bert was the 5th. However, none of them were named George, and I have not found anyone directly in my Patton family line named George. So I can't help you with that one. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Good luck with your research,
Jane Patton Woolard
