There is a Joseph Patton, grandson of "OLD MATT" Patton, son of William Patton.

Vol C pg. 52
Will of William Patton Peters Township 12-26-1774 proved 9-9- 1777
Wife Elizabeth
son John (eldest)
son James (2nd son)
son Joseph (not of age)
son Benjamin (not of age)
son John bound to Joseph Vanlier to learn trade
Wife Elizabeth & friend Thomas Dunwoody exrs.

No age is given, just says he was not of age at the time of William's death.

<<Side Note: William Alexander Patton, son of Matthew Leander "Old Matt" Patton & Elizabeth Jane Alexander Birth: ABT 1740 in , Cumberland, Pennsylvania Death: ABT 1776>> Could be your Joseph.

Well, I see in Matt Patton's will there is no mention of son William, The reason for this is William died first. Here is the link I got the info from.

Hope this helps. I am not a Patton descendant but have an interest in the family as our Walker family and the Patton family intermarried several times.
