Nice long-shot! I believe the Patton daughter you are referring to is Emma Z. Patton, b. 1/13/1862. I have that she was married to Reverend John Knox Montgomery either November or December 25, 1889. She was the youngest daughter of Nathaniel Campbell Patton and Mary Ann Thompson, who were married in Adams County, Ohio on 3/17/1847. Nathaniel was born in Adams County on 2/2/1826, and died 1/5/1908. Mary Ann was born 2/28/1827 and died 2/1/1909. Nathaniel's parents, John Patton and Phoebe Taylor Patton were born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, and came to Ohio around 1814-1816.
Also, I have that Emma and Reverend Montgomery had 6 children, Knox Montgomery, Jr, Grace Montgomery, Don Montgomery, Geneva Montgomery, Robert Montgomery, who is said to have been President of Muskingum College in
Ohio, and Paul Montgomery. Reverend Montgomery may have at one time been a pastor of the U.P. Church in Sparta, IL, and I believe finally at the Walnut Hills U.P. Church in Cincinnati.
