Attn PA Pattons: especially descendents of John the immigrant
You hear a lot of talk in here about the descendents of Matthew, and not so much about the descendents of his brother John...
But I just found five or six PAGES of information about the descendents of Matthew's brother John who came with him from Ireland to PA.
The information goes through J. Howard Patton, son of Judge George W. Patton.
It's interesting to descendents of Matthew as well because it has a long paragraph about the original Patton immigrant brothers.
This is where I found images of the book (along with much other pertinent and searchabe material):

It's the U of Pittsburgh's digital archive.
The book that I'm talkign about is John Newton Boucher's "Old and New Westmoreland"Vol 3, though Vol 4 also contains good information, including a small blurb about the elusive Robert Galloway, father of Susan P, wife of Stephen Woodrow Patton. It's the first time I ever found his birth, death, and immigration dates in print.
There is a TON of great information to be had here, so if any Patton cousins don't know about this... I just wanted to share the find. It was tremendous to ME.
