David,
I am very interested in this book you say is located in the LDS library in Salt Lake.My Question is, why are there records that far from VA.?Did a portion of the family move west?Perhaps with the Mormon movement?
I was adopted at age 9, my name was changed, also, the state of AZ has sealed my records as well as falsified my birth certificate, not very well either.Supposedley I was born in Los Alomosa CO., which does not exsist that I know of.I also have a younger lost brother and sister who are full blooded Pattons. To gain any information that would give me proof of my true name and identity would do great wonders for my life.My father was Ralph Patton, married my mother Linda Mae Prince, then bore me in 1973.We did live in Utah for some time.Could these records in Utah be of my family? Also, my real family as well as adopted were LDS.My mother Linda was adopted by the Hail fdecendants of Joseph Smiths wife, Emma Hail.
