The next paragraph is referring to Richard, I believe:
"Of his children, Patience was born in 1803, John in 1805, William in 1806, James in 1808, Joseph in 1812, Thomas in 1814, Edward in 1816, Elizabeth in 1818, and A.M. in 1821, all of whom are now living but Patience who died in 1825, and James, in 1827, the remaining seven children's ages averaging over sixty-six years"
