PATTERSON, THE
PATTERSON, THE REVEREND CHARLES of Kelowna, died in the Kelowna General Hospital on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ilene, son David of Innisfail, Alberta, daughter Kathryn (Roger) Smith of Salmon Arm, and daughter Susan (Carey) Feniak of Sicamous. Also to mourn his death are nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Charles was predeceased by his younger brother Colin, and parents Clifford and Goldies Patterson. He was a dedicated school teacher for thirty four years before fulfilling his life long dream of attending seminary and being ordained a priest of the Anglican Church in 1984. Charles was also a loyal member of Lions International since 1969. A celebration of life will be held at the Cathedral Church St. Michael and All Angels, 608 Sutherland Ave., on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lions Camp in Winfield, 3981 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, V6H 4H5, Kelowna Hospice Association, 2035 Ethel St., Kelowna, V1Y 2Z6, the Cathedral Church St. Michael and All Angels, or the charity of your choice.
