I am searching for James H Patterson b 1838 in NY. His father was born in NY and his mother in CT. He married Wealthy J (unk last name). She was born 1842 in Michigan. Her parents were born in Virginia. They had the following children: Homer b 1863 in Indiana, Earnest b 1866 in Indiana, Elmer b 1875 in Iowa, and James S born in 1880 in Iowa. The only one I can trace is Elmer who married my grandfather's sister Emily Meserve probably after 1900. They had two daughters who both died before the age of 3. Elmer and Emily lived in Oregon where Elmer was a minister. What happened to the other children and did they have any others? I can not trace them after the 1880 census of Grant, Montgomery Co., Iowa.
