I have a Andrew J. Patterson Born abot 1820 Jackson County Al (Per daughter and sons Death certificate Carter Co and Ripley County MO.)
He married a Martha Martha Perdina Thompson (per kids birth certificate born in Jackson County AL abt 1819/1820).
I found him in Missouri in 1860 Ripley County MO, 1870 Carter county (was Ripley until 1859) 1880 Carter County census died after 1880.
I can not locate him before 1860.
