New to this forum. My gggrandfather William Preston Patterson built Patterson Chapel in Laurens Cty, SC in the 1800's. I am researching this line of the Pattersons and trying to find the newest generations. I know there are so many lines, but was wondering if anyone had any info on William or further back, his grandfather, Joseph Patterson born in the 1700's and came from Ireland with two brothers. The brothers settled in PA but Joseph went on to Virginia then SC. I know there's so many Joseph Pattersons but I can tell you that he was given 150 acres of land in 1774 in old Berkley Cty, SC. Sound familiar to anyone...please let me know?
