I hardly know where to look next, so I was wondering if anyone knew where to find any information next on this family. The earliest name I know is a Thomas Patterson who married a Nancy - and died unexpectedly around 1823. His brother and widow were in the Orphan's Court records bk 1 pg 100 deciding matters about the land. He also had a brother John, and a sister Mary who married George Espey, mentioned in these court records.
Starting in 1830 Nancy is in the Federal census records alone with the children at Donegal township. She was born in 1790 so Thomas must have been around the same age.
His two sons that I know of Gordon and Samuel, owned land together in Donegal township and their sisters Eleanor and Nancy lived with them at least 1850-80 or until death it appears.
Gordon married a Nancy J. later, Samuel lived with their sister Nancy still in 1880 and both of them state their father (Thomas) was born in Ireland.
After 1850 the family lived in West Finley. This is all the information I have, and I've looked extensively.
