Hello Patricia. I'm researching my husband's Patterson family who lived in Bradford, McKean Co. PA and wondering if you have additional information or photos to share for his family, or can refer me to someone who does.
Harry Rubin Patterson born 20 Oct 1886 in Buffalo, NY per his 1917 Draft Registration Card, died 9 Sept 1960 in Los Angeles County, California. However the census and CA death records differ as to where he was born, both indicating he was born in PA. In 1917 Harry was living at 245 West Washington, Bradford, PA. According to his 1917 Draft Regis. Card it appears he worked for Bisck (sp?) Bros. in Bradford, PA. I don't know what type of business this was, and I'm unable to make out his occupation as the image is poor. By 1900 he is enumerated in the PA census in Sergeant, McKean County, PA, then by 1930 in Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, California. He is inurned at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (formerly Sunnyside Memorial Park & Masoleum) in Long Beach, CA next to his brother Thomas. Thus far I havent been able to determine if Harry ever married.
I also hope to discover where Harry's mother Josephine aka Josy is buried. I suspect she may have died in PA before the family arrived in Pittsburg, CA by 1912. Harry is the son of Thomas Daniel Patterson ( 1858 PA -1926 CA) & Josephine (maiden name Brecktel or Dritzel, according to 2 different sources). His siblings are Thomas James Patterson, Sr. who married Emma Litchkofski (or Liskoff-various spellings for her maiden name), & Lavearn Elwood Patterson (1881 PA - 1930 CA) who married Mabel (Barger) Patterson (1882 OH - 1958 CA). Harry's father Thomas D. & his brother Lavearn are buried at the Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery in Antioch, CA.Josephine is yet to be found.
I don't have any evidence my husband's Patterson family married into the CASE family, but thought I'd inquire with you just the same.
Also, what is the name of the cemetery in Angelica, NY where I can research further the Patterson's buried there? Both of Harry's brothers Thomas & Lavearn lived in Erie Co., NY in the early 1900's. Lavearn & Mabel were married in Buffalo, NY in 1906, Thomas & Emma were married in Depew, NY abt 1907.
