According to data from Harold Pattee, Hiram Pattee was the son of Thomas Pattee b. 1813. The 1870 Monroe, MI census has Hiram 3 houses away from a John Artimus Pattee. We haven't found the connection between these two other than last name, b. MI, & 1 year apart. John A's family in 1850 doesn't have Hiram: 1850 United States Federal Census > Michigan > Wayne > Brownstown, pg 514A, image 24 James S Patee 34 OH farmer, Delia Ann 25 MI, John A 6 MI, Abner E 4 MI, Elias 1 MI, James 15 MI. Pattee, Hiram L. 8th Cavalry, Company M Pleasant View Ida Twp., Mi IGI, LDS, FHC extracted marriage record from locality -------------------------------------------------- Thomas Pattee notes: My fellow PATTEE researcher, Harold Pattee, has the following family in his data. There currently is no known parentage for this Thomas Pattee. Maybe your info can help i.d. them: Thomas L or S Pattee born about 1813 Ohio father b. NH mother b. VA married Eleanor born abt 1821 NY, Hiram L b. abt 1843 MI, Mary E b. abt 1848 OH, John F b. abt 1850 MI, & Eleanor C b. abt 1857 MI. In the 1880 census, Thomas & Eleanor still have Hiram with them and 3 grandchildren: Eleanor S 15 MI MI NY, Leonard L 12 MI MI NY, & Francois S Curtis MI MI OH. There is a Benjamin Curtis in the 1850 Summerfield, Monroe, MI census who may be Mary Eleanor's husband & Francois' father. None of those family members is named Francois, though a younger sister is Frances. There is another Benjamin Curtis in the Ingram, MI census who has a sister, Sophrana. The Curtis family in the 1850 Summerfield census is probably the one. They are household 3 in the 1860 Summerfield census, Thomas Pattee & family are #9. The 1870 Summerfield census shows Thomas 54 OH, Elinor 49 NY, Elinor 13 MI, Benjamin Curtis 28 MI brick mason, & Francois Curtis 2 MI. Mary Eleanor apparently died before this. This is most probably the family you were describing, though there is no wife, Mary, for Thomas. steve stephen pattee concord, nc spattee@carolina.rr.com Notify Administrator about this message?
