Any Hallet(t)/Hollet(t) Participants listed?

A Stephen Hallet(t)/Hollet(t) out of early Madison County, NY, was stated as having left for Franklin County NY and was last known to have been in Augusta, Ontario Canada in 1837. His probate was initiated ca1840 in Madison County NY [his death/whereabouts unknown]. He was also stated as having (previously) been in Michigan. He left a [widow]/wife Deborah and a number of children in Madison County.

1837 was not a good time to be in Augusta (Grenville) Ontario Canada. Was Stephen Hallett a participant in the Patriot War? Has anyone seen any Hallett/Hollett names mentioned in researching the Patriot War? I have been to the Northern New York and other Patriot War websites with rosters and found no mention of Hallett/Hollett. He never returned home nor apparently was heard from again.

A historian in Ontario Canada has not found a Stephen Hallett/Hollett in the area ca 1837 to 1851 either.

Anyone know of any rosters for either/both side(s) of the participants in the sinking of the British steamer in the Thousand Island region in 1838?

Thank you for any suggestions or help.
Vicky
