Hi Michael

I think my great grandmother Christian Paton was born in Tillicoultry about 1804 , daughter of John Paton and Ann MacGregor. Or she may be the Christian Paton born in 1808 daughter of John's brother Robert and his wife Isabella Wright OR it may be the Christian Paton born 1804, who was the daugher of John's other brother Alexander and his wife Mary Bernard!

John, Robert and Alexander were sons of James Paton ( b 1759) and Christian Bayne. They all lived in the Clackmannanshire area.

I will be in Tillicoultry in June to do some sleuthing to see if I can find any solid leads about which of these lasses may have been my ggrandmother. Are you looking for specific information? I will be staying in a home that is the old manor house of John Paton, the Mill owner. The current owner said she has some pictures and family records. I am very eager to get there to see what I can find.

Let me know what information you already have and I'll see if I can add to it for you.

Linda
