My great grandfather, John Paterson (b. 1822 d. 1896), was born in Inverness and lived in Oxford, where he married Margaret Mac Alpin (b.1822 d.1917.) Accordin to informatio given to me, she was buried in Jericho Cemetery, Oxford.
He had three sons, Alexander (my grandfather), William, and John.
Alexander was born in Oxford en 1863 and died in Quilmes, Argentina in 1938. He came here to work on the Railway, (he was an accountant), and brought his father, mother and brothers along, as well as a cousin, Cameron Paterson.
Alexander had a son, John Donald Mac Alpin who was born in 1903, in Quilmes, and died in 1990, in Quilmes.
John, had three children, Ian, Douglas and Margaret, and all returned to Britain.
