I know many of you want to change your last name. Go ahead it is your choice. But I am a patel and was born in India. I came to America and lived here since i was seven. My parents have become naturalized Citizens and so I am I. See the only thing a name like Patel does is identify you as an Indian. It can't mean I am better or worse than anyone. My name is associated with my parents and their dignity. Be proud of who You are because you didn't have a choice nor any human to be born as indian, white or chinese; So why should the name affect you. I think a lot of you want to chage your name because you don't want to live up to the expectations of your family. Killing of your name isn't going to change. I hope more people can put more history of the Patel family. I am curently writing a anthropolgy paper.
