The influence of Judge Samuel Pate on Abraham Lincoln in Kentucky was immeasurable, in determining the course of our nation. For that reason, and others, I am constrained to share with this Forum this note sent today to my granddaughter Julia, in reference to and explanation of the subject note:
Even though we are currently in a time patch that emphasizes the here and now, History has its uses.
As a maturing person and a mother, you will see that history is the reference and quality control data base for managing the development of our children (and their world). As a Navy human resources manager, you will appreciate that the first responsibility of government is to provide wealth-building employment of the people.
History is nothing but the story of wealth building and its distribution. Good governments make and have rich people. History is justified by its function as a record of the meeting of its responsibilities by the government. The problem with history is that it varies with interpretation and understanding of wealth and wealth building, depending upon whether you are an employer, or one of the employed. But governments prey upon each other. This is their job. Or it has always been their job, until now, in spite of other unrealized ideals.
History teaches us that a few interrelated (often international) families have run the world, since records have been kept. These families prey upon each other. Democracy is the governmental ideal that hopes to change history, by involving more families in the government of the world, and by more equitably and peacefully managing Earthfs wealth. Many people donft like managing anything. Managing people is particularly challenging, but itfs a dirty job that has to be done.

By Benson John Lossing and our WWI president Woodrow Wilson, 1905, Page 101. It has to do with people of the Henderson family, and the Hogg (Dutch for High) family of Scotland and North Carolina. It appears to me the Hogg family are a branch of the ancient Plantagenet family, a branch of the French Capet royal family, from which Petts and Pates descend.
The Plantagenet coat of arms indicates that the bearers of it respected the wild boar, a creature that goes anywhere and devours anything, without fear. Plantagenet arms are explicit in showing the old Paetus cross, the religious power that is the ancient authority for control of the people, the crossing of stars--and death of kings on a cross. That power is protected and supported by great Roman-style batiments that house wealth and protect the wealthy. Obviously, not everyone has power to devour, nor need to show it. Always sharing the divine power are Earthfs managers.
Your son Benjamin Samuel Henderson bears the surname of folks prominent in the management of the world. The below is all about the plan of Richard Henderson to set up a Henderson state independent of the United States in the river-rich area in which North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia now join, in the middle 1700es, with Boones with whom Pates were associated in North and South Carolina. The delegates to a Henderson state convention even wrote up a constitution for the new state:

g1. That the election of delegates should be annual ; 2. Perfect freedom of opinion in matters of religion; 3. That judges should be appointed by the proprietors, but answerable for bad conduct to the people; and, 4. That the Convention or Assembly have the sole power of raising and appropriating all moneys, and of electing their treasurers. Courts and a militia were organized, and laws were enacted. The proprietors held a meeting in September at Oxford, Greenville co., N. C., and elected James Hogg a delegate for Transylvania in the Continental Congress, but the claim of Virginia to the territory of the new commonwealth was a bar to his admission. The legislature of Virginia afterwards annulled the purchase of Henderson, and the inchoate State disappeared. Virginia gave Henderson a tract of land on the Ohio 12 miles square, below the mouth of Green River.h
Note that the delegate from Transylvania (name of the home state of the Dracula family in Europe) in North Carolina was James Hogg (AKA DeVere, Were, Weir, Deaver, Devereaux, McNair, etc.). Your Blue grandmotherfs Sims kin from North Carolina married into the McNair family in Ozark (Aux Arc, reference to historical part of France) in Dale County, Alabama, and your grandmotherfs mother there was named Howell Devereaux.
You see connections to many of my recent notes in the above. Much apparently unrelated knowledge begins to fall into place, and begins to make a bigger sense, when you get a critical mass of it. Be careful! Knowledge at critical mass can be explosive.
