A DNA success story from the Wall Street Journal

In the current issue of "Facts & Genes", 8-21-09, a newsletter published by Family Tree DNA, there is a brief reference to an article in the Wall Street Journal about one of FTDNA's customers who had successfully discovered his birth father after a 26-year search through DNA analysis.

The article was published by the WSJ on May 2, 2009, titled "Family Secrets: An Adopted Man's 26-Year Quest for His Father", with a subtitle of "Richard Hill Uses Latest DNA Techniques And Lots of Shoe Leather to Solve a Riddle". The link to the article is: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124121920060978695.html

Though this was a story involving an adoption, the same diligence and persistence of Richard Hill could be applied to your own searches for links to elusive ancestors, especially the brickwall blocking your research.

"Facts & Genes" is a free email newsletter available to any interested person, which provides valuable information and a better basic understanding of DNA. You do not have to be a customer or a project member to subscribe. A subscription also gives you access to all their back issues.
