I am also searching for Patchen family in Missouri.I find that there is many ways to spell Patchin. During my search I found your
great-grandfather.It was for his marriage to Mahalie Owens. It says they were married Jan.5,1871 in Clinton,Missouri.
I don't know if we are related. My side of the family also has Owens. My Great grandfather is said to have came from France with at least 3 brothers. They moved to Missouri. My grand fathers name is Abram or Abe Patchin. He married Fannie Jean Yarver. It is said he had a brother named Joe or Joesph. I found a Joesph Patchin married to Alphy M.Patchin on Oct.7,1883 in Jasper,MO.
I feel it is very likely we are related as I've not found to many Patchen/Patchins in Missouri as of yet.
If you have any information that may help me please write me.Thank You:Linda
