Hi all
My g.g.grandfather, Thomas Gluyas Pascoe, emigrated from Cornwall to Australia in 1865, with his wife, Jane (nee Stevens) and 1yo son William. They had 4 subsequent children born in Victoria, then one born in Sydney in 1876. After that, the next record I have shows Thomas going bankrupt in NZ in 1891. Next record is him remarrying in South Australia in 1909. His death cert shows one more son born (unknown name and date), and I'm thinking that may well have been in NZ.
What I'd like help with is a) finding out when he went to NZ (Sydney to ?) and when he returned, and b) checking the birth indexes in NZ for the birth of the unknown son, probably between 1876 and 1886, but who knows?
