Hi Anne

I still haven't found his email info but I got the original contact through Curious Fox.The site is a cross between Genes Reunited and Genforum,in as much as you can post info requests for free but have to upgrade to paid membership to contact others who have free membership. BUT free mambers can contact paid members. Not really as complicated as it sounds.

Any way when I first read the posting last summer his posting was green indicating he was a paid up member. So I could contact him for free. When I checked and copied his posting for you it was RED meaning that it's now a free membership.Obviously let his membership lapse if he had not received any other contacts.

Good news is that it's only £5 for a years membership if yu are desperate to make contact.Alternatively you could post a request as a free member and see if he gets in touch. There's another postings on there, from someone name Janet, about Joseph Harper of Pardoes Lane Darlaston........ who I judged to be brother of your William. So your £5 would be well spent.

Try this www.curiousfox.org.uk. search for Darlaston in the Town/village box. His posting is on page 2 if I remember correctly, and Janet's on page 3.

Happy hunting....... Jackie
