My best guess is that Persis was the wife of Eli PARTRIDGE b. 30 Dec 1756 in Mendon, Norfolk, Massachusetts. He died 3 Nov 1792. He was in Revolutionary service from Mendon (Mass. Archives), and from Chesterfield, NH (Hammond's Rev. Rolls). They resided in Chesterfield.

Children were: Elkanah (1780-1858, Ira (b.1783 -died in infancy), Ira (b.1785-abt 1817), Azubah (1787-), Caroline (1789-)

This would be consistent with her 2nd marriage to Mr. Wheelock in 1797 since Eli would have already died in 1792. I don't know why she would appear as head of household with children in 1800 & 1810 Chesterfield census unless Mr. Wheelock had died also.
