Jude,
I've seen that reference of Elizabeth being a Brannon and that really threw me at first.I believe it came from here:
Rev. John B. Trent, Families of Northern Henderson and Southern Van Zandt Counties, Vol I and Vol II (Loaned to VZC Rootsweb by Lavona Blackwell; transcribed by B. Miller), http://www.rootsweb.com/~txvanzan/fam8a.htmhttp://www.rootsweb.com/~txvanzan/fam8a.htm.
(The link is probably not good any more).
I suspect that it came from the Brannans living next door.As you noted, Stamps had married Mary June Partin.Marthie Carolyn Partin married Eli Fancher (And surprisingly, it's listed as "Marthie" on her tombstone.) Margaret F. Partin married Wilborn McWilliams.
I'm descended from William Henry Partin and Mollie Ann McWilliam's daughter Katie Lee Partin, so this is a collateral line for me as well, and I haven't done much research on the Brannans.
Sorry if this isn't much help.
Regards,
Sally
