Hello to all the Parten/Parton researchers,
I am trying to find information on Martha Parten born in TN and the daughter of James and Catherine Parten that moved to Greene county, MO. In the 1860 Greene Co,MO; Taylor Township census she is living at home with James her father and siblings Mary, Catherine, James. Her mother Catherine had passed away in 1855. In the 1870 Greene Co.,MO Taylor Township census she is living with her sister Mary where she is listed as a weaver and Mary a spinner. There is a 2yr old girl with them by the name of Tany(?). Her father James is married to Hannah Sturman-Cleghorn by this time and living in Fulton Co., AR. James and Hannah have a 12 yr.old male by the name of Montgomery with them. Does anyone know anything about Montgomery?
Does anyone know who Martha married and where she went????
I believe this is my line and desperate to connect.
