Parten" is Edward Parten, b. 1830 TN, son of James PARTEN and Catherine "Katie" who migrated from TN to Missouri sometime between 1840 and 1850. 1850 Census shows ames and family (all known children) and wife, Catherine in Greene Co., MO. In 1860 census, 1860 - James with four youngest children still in Greene Co. Catherine not listed. Perhaps dead. Nearby are William and Ed each with young family. Hope this helps.
