I stumbled across a birtdate for Mary ___ the wife of George Partee in Goodspeed's History of Arkansas. The twin Partee brothers, James and George, were born Nov. 25, 1811, in Kentucky to Lewis and Mary (Ramsey) Partee. Their wives remain a mystery. James was married to Elmina and George was married to MARY. No further information on either. According to Goodspeed, MARY was born March 4, 1814, in Tennessee. This information was supplied by family or friends when it was collected for this history. If a person knew her birthdate and state, surely he or she knew Mary's last name and where in Tenn. she was born. I hope someone can take this birthdate and find some information to fill in the other blanks. I haven't been able to so far.
I mean, after all, the last names of the Partee wives two generations preceding them are known. Why not theirs?
