I dont wish to disillusion all you Parsons from Somerset searchers, but I suppose you are aware that Parsons is a very comon name in the West country of England...Bristol, Somerset, Dorset,Wiltshire. It is a chance in a million if you discover family members just by a posting on here.
My grandfather Edgar John was born about 1879 at Chaffey Moor,Bourton, Dorset to William John a labourer B 1852.,and Eliza from Cashmore Dorset B 1857 a dress maker. William John went to become a gardner around 1890,
at the Mells Somerset estate the home Sir John and lady Horner (of nursery rhyme "Little jack Horner" fame), the gardens being redsigned by the famous Sir Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll. The house is still in the family of the Earl of Oxford and Lady Asquith. But my searches have drawn a blank apart fom that and I live here. E Parsons
