I am the g-g-granddaughter of William Parsons born 1842/1843 in Indiana. He married Elizabeth Jane Sartain aka Sarten. Children George William and Sarah C. Parsons.
I am looking for information on William's parents and where he was born in Indiana. Both of his parents are listed as born in Indiana according to the 1880 Clinton, Douglas Co., Kansas Census. I know he went to Missouri in Feb. 186l where he married Elizabeth and then Elizabeth was in Iowa in Dec. 186l where George was born, and in 1870 she was back in Missouri where Sarah was born. I do not know if William was in the Civil War during these years or if he was traveling with Elizabeth. Does anyone have any information to fill in the blanks...Any and all information welcome.
