Thank you, Douglas, for your reply. Yes, I agree that family names tend to be recycled especially back in the earlier eras. The Martha A. M. [PARROT] that I am searching for would be at least one, possibly two generations before your connections. She was widow DOVER, when she married WRINKLE and had one daughter by DOVER. Records show her to be born Jun 1833 in TN, but I believe that her PARROT line was possibly from NC.

Any help or suggestions from other PARROT researchers is certainly welcomed.
