Hi Mary, Long time no talk. I recently revisited Jasper, IL and Johnson, IN. As you know, there is a new stone for John Parr in Nolin Cemetery. The Brockville Cemetery in Jasper is just amazing since there are about 30 relatives buried there, including our Kimbrell, Manning, Parr, Jones, et al family. Years ago when you visited Clark to see Peterson and Lucy's farm - do you recall who you talked to about Lucy? I think you were with your daughter - and I realize that was a long time ago -- just curious. First person I talked to when I walked into the Johnson County Historical Society last month was Linda Talley who is our cousin through Matthias Parr buried in Johnson County. Regarding the Enoch Parr bible -- I've always wanted to attach Enoch as the son of John Parr in Wilkes vs Arthur Parr in Rowan, NC but obviously if you found the bible in Salem we once again must consider him part of that family of ten children from Rowan that came to Maryland from England in the early eighteenth century. Anything new about A J Parr? Have you ever looked at the Parr bunch in Sullivan County, Tennessee? I originally thought they were all connected to Jacob from Pennsylvania but not so sure right now. There were Overtons and Parkhursts as well, as in Johnson County. Kimbrells, Mannings Gratners and Alexanders, too. Interesting. Even if the Parr DNA does not match among the Parrs in Sullivan, I suppose people at that time with the same last name probably thought they were related. Just speculation on my part. Hope you are doing well. Bill@ParrWeb.com Notify Administrator about this message?
